About me

I grew up on Wall Street...
of a sleepy railroad town in sunny south Georgia, USA.
I'm lucky to call myself a dual citizen of the US and Canada.

I'm a UX Designer with an artistic background. After 5 years of animation industry experience, I left. I wanted to work on interactive products that help make people's jobs and lives easier.

Art and animation still influence my UX practice. If you check out my work, I prioritize animations and illustration in everything I do. It's fun and delightful for both me and the customer. Win-win!

What I love about Product Design:

Once upon a time, I showed a prototype to a customer. She gasped and said in the most classic British accent,

"Oh my god, it's puhhh-fect!"

It's the best high a UX Designer can feel.

I've been chasing that high ever since.

I know what you're thinking. Perfection does not exist. Was that feature perfect? Of course not. We launched and iterated and iterated some more. That endless journey is what excites me every single day.

That's my cat Athena. She makes regular appearances in Zoom meetings.

Who am I really?

Some friends call me the "Asian Martha Stewart."

I'm an old lady in a 30-something's body. I've never been to jail...yet. 😉

I've always loved the arts, crafts, and design. From knitting my own clothes, to dyeing wol with kitchen scraps (like avocado pits and onion skins), to travel painting, to ceramics..I'm a DIY-er...a maker. I love creating beautiful things. I am an artisan who believes in quality and mastery. I strive for perfection and obsess over details. I unravel my knitting countless times, and I smash my pots with the slightest imperfection. I'm always striving for my best, and I never give up.
